Our Story
AIWELD was born from firsthand experience in the demanding world of shipbuilding and maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO). Our journey began in the shipyard, where our founding team of six engineers, predominantly from a marine background, witnessed the critical challenges faced by NDT inspectors daily.
We saw how the immense volume of welding work and the subsequent inspections led to inspector fatigue, creating a bottleneck that impacted both productivity and the consistency of quality assurance. The potential for human error under such pressure is a significant concern in an industry where safety and structural integrity are paramount.
This inspired us to create a better way. We established AIWELD to develop an intelligent solution that aids, rather than replaces, the invaluable expertise of inspectors and welders. Our goal is to empower them with a tool that enhances their capabilities, reduces fatigue, and brings a new level of accuracy and efficiency to their work.
